Our behavioral health platform (http://RethinkBH.com) provides clinical, staff training and practice management tools for private ABA service providers. Due to autism insurance mandates sweeping the nation, our behavioral health division is experiencing unprecedented growth. Therefore, we are looking for the right person to join our billing service team.

Our office specializes in Revenue Recycle Management, as well as Enrollment and Credentialing Services. We are looking for an experienced Billing professional who will promote a positive work environment through progressive leadership. We support mission-oriented companies that impact the lives of thousands of individuals with autism and their families. The Billing Service Implementation Specialist will play a key role in the continued development and growth of the Billing department and will work closely with the Lead Implementation Manager, Billing Services Manager(s) & Account Management Team to ensure the best customer experience while onboarding with Rethink RCM services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure strict HIPPA-compliant confidentiality with all client-related data.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to improve the quality of services that result in timelines and customer satisfaction
  • Make recommendations to Rethink leadership to address and improve operational protocols that focus on an enhanced customer experience
  • Develop and manage new customer onboarding & implementation processes/procedures.
  • Document and communicate payor billing requirements to team members when onboarding new customers
  • Facilitate regular customer kick off calls during implementation process
  • Attend post-implementation customer meetings as needed
  • Manage account onboarding to assure smooth transition to billing, providing best customer experience possible
  • Communicate regular updates to Billing team regarding customers onboarding within the current month and expectations for transitions
  • Communicate regular updates to customers regarding onboarding process and expectations
  • Assist/complete account set-up tasks in a timely manner, including but not limited to: payor set up, payor EDI/ERA enrollments, provider set-up, billing system set up
  • Research payor rules as needed and update internal payor knowledge base for Billing Team to utilize
  • Monitor and update status of accounts onboarding for consistent tracking
  • Special projects as needed

Required Qualifications 

  • Minimum 3-5-year Insurance Billing experience
  • Minimum 3-5-year Customer Service experience
  • Previous ABA/mental health billing experience
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude and love a good challenge
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized
  • Self-motivated with team mentality

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous medical billing experience specifically with speech, occupational and physical therapy
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of Insurance Billing Experience
  • Leadership or training experience
  • Proficient using Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Experience using billing software Kareo or Azalea
