About Us
At RethinkEd, we are on a mission to inspire and empower educators, students, families, and districts with solutions that support the entire school community. Through our innovative products, we address some of the biggest challenges in education today—teacher burnout, student mental health, behavioral issues, and the need for effective interventions.
Our comprehensive solutions include the Behavior Suite, Wellness Suite (Mental Health and Social Emotional Wellness), MTSS Suite, Professional Development, and Vizzle (Intervention, Curriculum, and Special Education resources).
We are seeking a strategic Product Marketing Manager (Contract, part-time) with a strong background in EdTech and K-12 education to develop go-to-market strategies, positioning, messaging, and sales enablement assets that drive engagement and adoption of RethinkEd’s solutions.
Role Overview
The Product Marketing Manager will play a critical role in translating RethinkEd’s value proposition into compelling market-facing messaging and collateral that resonates with K-12 educators and decision-makers. This role requires a strong understanding of the education sector, the ability to work cross-functionally with sales, product, customer success, and marketing teams, and a knack for developing go-to-market materials that drive demand and sales conversions.
While content creation is a key part of the role, the primary focus is on strategic product marketing initiatives that support sales, customer engagement, and market positioning.
Responsibilities:
Product Positioning & Messaging
- Develop clear, compelling messaging and value propositions for RethinkEd’s product suites, ensuring differentiation in the EdTech market.
- Collaborate with Product and Sales teams to understand key customer pain points and craft narratives that address those needs.
- Help develop and refine RethinkEd’s voice, tone, and messaging guidelines to ensure consistency across all channels.
- Create sales collateral such as product one-pagers, sales decks, brochures, and competitive battle cards to equip sales teams with compelling messaging and assets.
- Develop product training materials and internal guides to help sales teams effectively communicate product benefits to educators and district leaders.
- Assist in launching new product features and initiatives, developing campaign messaging, launch plans, and promotional content.
- Develop high-impact content including website copy, landing pages, case studies, thought leadership articles, video scripts, and email sequences that drive engagement and conversions.
- Work alongside the Web Marketing team to develop SEO-optimized product pages that improve visibility and organic reach.
- Develop content that speaks to decision-makers in districts, such as Superintendents, CAOs, Special Education Directors, and Student Services leaders.
- Conduct competitive research to identify positioning opportunities and gaps in the market.
- Gather customer insights and feedback to refine messaging and enhance product-market fit.
- Stay updated on industry trends, policy changes, and funding opportunities that impact K-12 districts and RethinkEd’s market positioning.
Experience & Background
- Proven experience in Product Marketing, preferably in the K-12 Education or EdTech sector.
- Strong track record in positioning, messaging, and sales enablement for B2B or B2E (business-to-education) products.
- Familiarity with Mental Health, SEL, MTSS, Behavior Management, Special Education, and Professional Development topics and vocabulary.
- Strategic storytelling – Ability to translate complex educational challenges into compelling narratives that drive engagement.
- Collaboration & stakeholder management – Experience working across Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams.
- Exceptional writing & communication skills – Capable of crafting concise, persuasive messaging for both marketing and sales assets.
- Analytical mindset – Ability to leverage data, customer insights, and market trends to inform content and strategy.
- Proficiency in sales enablement tools, CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress), and collaboration tools (e.g., Asana, HubSpot, or similar CRM/marketing platforms).
- Familiarity with SEO principles and digital marketing best practices.
- Experience working with designers, studio teams, and video production for marketing asset development.
- Passion for education and supporting K-12 educators, students, and families.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a collaborative and strategic approach.
