Job Summary
As part of the Product Management team, the Product Specialist job function focuses on delivering meaningful user centric products and digital experiences that supports a member’s needs – personal wellbeing, professional resilience, and parenting/caregiving for neurodiverse children.

The Product Specialist partners closely with the Product Managers to support our Agile delivery teams by driving the backlog management, user stories definition, product requirements and work closely with engineering to developing/refining requirements and ensuring features are delivered on time. The role will assist the Product Managers with all aspects of the product lifecycle, obtaining customer feedback, serving as a voice of the customer, and assuring the internal team are well-versed in the functionality of the platform. 

The role includes contributing to an Agile environment in all phases of the software development lifecycle, to deliver in a way that meets the priorities of stakeholders and clients. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating with indirect influence, excellent interpersonal and project management skills, acclimates well to change, and is objective and detail oriented. The role is also responsible for coordinating, managing and working closely with third-party vendors to support our globalization efforts to continue expanding access to our content.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Execute the product roadmap to deliver solutions that delight our customers and increase engagement and ability to deliver revenue generating solutions.
  • Work with 3rd party partners to help manage and deliver on fresh content creation and translation to support our globalization efforts.
  • Working with the Product Managers to understand the short-term Product Roadmap to define the sequencing of the work to be delivered, considering dependencies, risks and contractual delivery agreements.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and various stakeholders to develop new content and feature enhancements from point of conceptualization to implementation.
  • Craft business requirements and user stories, helping to prioritize product feature backlog.
  • Create internal and external facing documentation relevant to content and product features.
  • In partnership with Product Managers, collaborate with marketing, sales and customer success to develop impactful go-to-market product strategies.
  • Perform routine competitive analysis on market trends, as asked.
  • Help research technical options and identify data sources, logic and rules by working both with the delivery team and with other teams to learn their offerings and availability.
  • Identify key use cases and KPI's to evaluate success of the product and performance.
  • Be a champion for the product, the delivery team and their goals.
  • Actively monitor the performance of the digital solutions provided to users
  • Be available to respond very quickly to investigate client issues and help the team to problem solve.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-2 years' experience in product management, product software delivery, or related functions
  • Experience translating business needs to developers, or the like.
  • Passionate about delighting users by creating a wonderful product experience
  • Customer-centric orientation with proven track-record of developing and acting on customer insights
  • Ability to define opportunities and problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and make valid conclusions
  • Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently
  • Intellectually curious, driven, and self-directed individual
  • Demonstrate excellent critical thinking skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally as needed
  • Experience working with agile teams, including familiarity with scrum ceremonies and agile best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
